Best Business Collaboration - National Education Awards

Recently, the Department of Marketing & International Business was announced as winners in the national Education Awards. The Department won the award for Best Business Collaboration with the work it has undertaken on Authentic Assessment being noted in particular.

 

 

Our marketing programmes at CIT use live cases throughout in order to ensure that students have continued exposure to real-world problems. Each year, CIT engages with businesses who present their marketing problems to students. The students then go and work on ideas that the companies may implement. Representatives from the company help judge the ideas and give feedback to the students. Often the companies take the students on placement as a result of the activity. 

 

The Department has worked with 100s of companies in this way including Keogh’s Crisps, Lidl, Gym+Coffee, Cork Airport, Littlewoods and a host of smaller businesses who really value the insight of our students.
