Social Media contributions:

The Marketing Unit has a facility which allows staff members to contribute to MTU’s official social media channels directly.  It’s called ‘Social Pilot’ and this platform allows staff to post directly while following an approval process.  If you have regular social media requirements which you would like promoted across MTU Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn), then this will be of interest to you. You may wish to nominate a member of staff to look after this for your department which is absolutely fine.

If you or a member of your department would like to register to use the ‘Social Pilot’ platform, please email socialmedia@mtu.ie and we will add you as a user.

Social Pilot is a very intuitive software and the system is set up so that all posts need approval from an admin before going live, so you can’t make any errors! You can set your posts up exactly as you want them to go out. Marketing will then give them the once-over to make sure all is right and then approve them to go live.
